One Data Room for the whole search

A search usually runs as several mappings, and until now each mapping kept its own copy of the brief, the specification and the company profile. The copies drifted apart. In one search, the specification lived in five mappings in three different versions. Across our searches, more than half of the documents kept in several mappings no longer matched.

Starting today, a search has its own Data Room. Every mapping shares it, everyone edits the same document, and the AI reads the version you do. There’s more: upload any file and get an editable document, put documents in your own order, and pin what matters.

Search documents live on the search

A search now has a Data Room of its own. Put the intake brief, the search specification and the hiring company profile there once, and every mapping in the search has them: under Search, and in All above the mapping’s own documents. Edit one from any mapping and you’re editing the one document. There are no copies to keep in step.

Scoring and tiering follow the same rule. When a mapping has no specification or tiering rules of its own, they read the search’s.

Edit a search document in DACH, and Nordics has the edit too.

Find a document by what it says

Every Data Room now has a search box that reads titles and the full text. Results highlight the words you typed and show the passage around them. The tabs set how wide you look: this mapping, the search, or All, which covers the search and every one of its mappings. Each result says where it lives.

Search the text, not just the titles: in this mapping, or across the whole search.

The copilot reads them too

Ask the copilot about your documents and it looks across the whole search, reads only the section it needs, and names the documents its answer came from.

It also keeps things where they belong. A document goes on the search only if it’s true for every mapping; target lists, strategies and checklists stay with their mapping. Ask it to tidy up and it tells you exactly what a move will change, including which copies in other mappings are identical and which differ. Nothing moves until you confirm.

Answers name their sources. Moves wait for your confirmation.

Upload any file, get a document you can edit

Drop a PDF, a Word document, a spreadsheet, a slide deck or a text file onto the Data Room. The AI rebuilds it as a Data Room document, headings and tables included, and it lands at the top of the list, ready to edit. Add an instruction if you want something specific, like “Turn this into a Company Profile”. Most files take about a minute, and the original stays linked at the top of the document.

Your order, with the essentials pinned

Documents no longer jump to the top every time someone edits them. Drag them into the order that makes sense, and everyone on the mapping sees the same list. Pin the few that matter most from a document’s ⋮ menu: pinned documents stay at the top, in the order you give them. Need what’s new instead? Sort by date in one click.

Drag by the handle, pin from the menu. Everyone sees the same order.

Available now

All of this is live in every space. Open any search or mapping and go to Data Room. Existing documents stay where they are: when a search-wide document turns up in one mapping, move it to the search from its ⋮ menu or ask the copilot, and every mapping has it from then on.
